Now a days we are very used to been watched over by thousands of video cameras that have been installed for "our security" in all cities all over the world, but in Chicago they just went overboard.
Tony Tasset has unveiled his centrepiece for Chicago Loop Alliance's ArtLoop 2010, a 30ft (10 metres) spherical structure made out of fibreglass and reinforced steel base. This big eye (what else to call it) will be on display until the end of October and its situated in Chicago's Pritzker Park, downtown the windy city.
People are not happy about it. Somehow they feel watched over. They claim that they feel intimidated by the Big Eye as they don't like to be watched all the time... and I wonder: what about the other zillion cameras watching them 24/7?
