If you close your eyes the Internet will disappear

Accordingly to music legend Prince, "the internet is completely over" as stated to the interview he gave to the British publication The Mirror in his first newspaper interview in 10 years. He is not a happy camper with Apple's Itunes music distribution business and muscle power. "I don't see why I should give my new music to iTunes or anyone else. They don't pay me in advance for it and then they get angry when they can't get it"

This money-driven zombie released his latest album "20 Ten" for free through various European print media (including the Daily Mirror and its Scottish affiliate, The Daily Record...that is 2.5 million free units) instead of succumbing to iTunes muscle power. You won't be able to find it on line.

Prince has banned both YouTube and iTunes from using his music, calling the web obsolete. He also said that the internet is like MTV... outdated and that all those digital gadgets just fill your head with numbers and that that can't be good for you.

Knowing Prince's past dealings one wonders if his tantrum is out of real passion or another attempt to get more cash for his work. I do remember when he was unhappy with his old record label and decided to change his name to an impossible to pronounce symbol to boycott the contract he had with them. Back then was all about money... and now?

Then he gave the US distribution of his album LotusFlo3r, MPL Sound & Elixer to the North American retailer Target...

I guess is good that Prince does not dislike simple things like, I don't know...the Sun, the sky or air, otherwise they would not exist, accordingly to his humble being. Now, those who know music claim that this new release is actually very good.
